Digital Video Infrastructure Platform

Nowadays, HD applications in the broadcast, surveillance & compression fields have demanding requirements. The DVIP is Sundance's answer.

The DVIP offers the performance & flexibility of two TI C6455 DSPs and a DM642 digital media processor. Together, they allow fast processing of image data, and make full use of Sundance's advanced multiprocessor architecture.

The DVIP also comes with two Virtex-4 FX60 FPGAs, specifically tailored for the implementation of leading compression / codec IP Cores from any supplier. The 1GHz C6455 DSPs can be connected through Serial Rapid I/O (SRIO) links, providing high data-rates and avoiding bottlenecks.

The system is a completely Stand-Alone solution, easily programmed through a USB 2.0 connection. Optional Ethernet access to the onboard RJ45 connector is also possible.
