High-Speed Channel performance figures
for the various Sundance PCs
(Basic, Pro and Ultra)

The graphs display the data transfer rate measured when the DSP on the first TIM site of a SMT310Q carrier board reads and writes the host PCI memory space. Tests were performed using the SMT6025 on the host and 3L Diamond on the DSP. This combination is referred to as the "High-Speed Channel". See the SMT6025 user manual for more detailed information.

Three tests were performed, transferring 1MByte of data from:

  • the host to the DSP

  • the DSP to the host

  • the DSP to the host where the host is writing the data to file.

These tests were performed on the 3 standard Sundance PCs (SMTPC1-Basic, SMTPC1-Pro and SMTPC1-Ultra).
The SMTPC1-Ultra is available in portable and rugged portable versions with the same performance. For details, see SMTPC2 Series and SMTPC3 Series respectively."
