Sundance to Attend FPGA Frontrunners Event on AI in FPGA Design

25th November 2026, London

Sundance will be attending FPGA Frontrunners on Wednesday 25 November 2026, hosted by Siemens in London. The topic for the day is “AI in FPGA Design Flows: Hype, Help or Transformation?”.

Organised by DESN, the event will bring together the FPGA community to discuss how artificial intelligence is influencing design and development. We look forward to meeting fellow engineers and industry colleagues, sharing perspectives and hearing how organisations are putting AI-assisted tools into practice.

Exploring AI in FPGA Design

AI is attracting growing interest across Electronic Design Automation (EDA), with engineering copilots and agentic tools opening up new possibilities for design, verification and optimisation. For FPGA teams, this raises questions about where these tools can save time, improve results and fit into existing development processes.

The event will explore practical experiences of using AI across the FPGA development lifecycle. Discussions will consider whether productivity improvements are measurable and repeatable, what challenges remain around trust and verification, and how AI could shape FPGA design methodologies over the next five years.

Who Should Attend?

The event is relevant to professionals involved in developing, integrating or evaluating FPGA-based systems, including:

  • FPGA designers and development engineers
  • Verification engineers and system architects
  • Technical leaders and engineering managers
  • EDA tool providers and FPGA end users
  • Specialists working in safety, security and standards

Why Attend?

For teams exploring AI-assisted development, the event offers an opportunity to hear how others are using these tools and learn from their successes and limitations.

Attendees can gain insight into which stages of FPGA development benefit most from AI, how its outputs can be checked and trusted, and what adoption could mean for their own engineering workflows. There will also be opportunities to exchange ideas and build connections with others across the FPGA community.

Sundance looks forward to joining the discussions and exploring the opportunities ahead for AI in FPGA engineering.
