Sundance Brings Ainstein’s New All-Weather Radar Altimeter to Product Portfolio
Ainstein’s US-D1 Pro radar altimeter sensor meets the demands of ruggedised UAV or tactical drone applications.
LONDON — September 30, 2025. Sundance Multiprocessor Technology (Sundance), a leader in embedded computing systems, today expanded its portfolio of high-precision radar altimeters from Ainstein, a trusted leader in radar sensing solutions since 2015, by adding the new US-D1 Pro to its family of Ainstein devices. Sundance will jointly showcase the US-D1 Pro with Ainstein at the DroneX Tradeshow & Conference (September 30-October 1, 2025, at Excel London).
“Bridging the gap between the compact power of Ainstein’s US-D1 and the long-range performance of the company’s LR-D1 — products that Sundance has long carried — Ainstein’s newest radar altimeter, the US-D1 Pro, is engineered for precision, durability, and next-gen aerospace missions.
As a small, lightweight device that’s plug-and-play ready, the US-D1 Pro is also exceptionally easy to use, requiring minimal engineering — not even recalibration.
We’re delighted to partner with Ainstein in bringing this hot new radar altimeter to our customers designing UAVs for wide-ranging applications in recon, surveillance, safety monitoring, and more.”

The US-D1 Pro meets demand for compact, high-precision radar altimeters that maintain accuracy in the toughest weather, light, and environmental conditions — including fog, high brightness or low light, and dust. That makes it ideally suited for ruggedised UAVs, tactical drones, and other aerial surveillance applications.
“Sundance Multiprocessor is one of the industry’s most trusted names in providing competitively priced and well-engineered products for the high-performance aerospace market and industrial applications operating in challenging environmental conditions.
We’re thrilled to expand upon our already thriving relationship with Sundance and look forward to many successful integrations to come.”
