“Does Ainstein offer a collision avoidance radar?”

Since 2024, this has been our most frequently asked question. Yet today, there are very few commercially available, onboard obstacle avoidance radars purpose-built for commercial UAVs.

While commercial drone applications have expanded rapidly across last-mile delivery, smart agriculture, drone window washing, utility inspection, construction, and forestry, scalable onboard collision avoidance solutions have not kept pace.

And as the Federal Aviation Administration and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency advance BVLOS regulatory frameworks, onboard collision avoidance is quickly becoming essential, not optional.

Current ground-managed and networked airspace systems alone cannot address unpredictable, real-world obstacles such as trees, power lines, birds, non-compliant aircraft, or changing weather and lighting conditions in real-time. Drones need onboard awareness to operate safely and reliably.
