dPict Imaging Announces DP-801S

dPict Imaging has announced the DP-801S, the first in the family of smart interface boards to deliver 12G or 4K UHD-SDI output. When connected directly to the 30-pin data connector of Sony Block cameras, it will convert sensor data to 4K UHD-SDI video, as well as provide power and communication to the camera, making it a complete integration solution.

The DP-801S is a low-power, low-latency, real-time, 12G or 4K UHD-SDI output module. Using dPict’s KEL to HDMI converter, the DP-801S can support any camera with an HDMI output.

Features of the DP-801S include:

• Supports Sony FCB-ER8300, FCB-ES8230, FCB-ER8530, FCB-ER8550, FCB-EW9500, and the new FCB-ER9500
• Processor-based design resulting in lower operating temperatures
• Power and VISCA Interface to Camera
• Infoframe, PID, and ANC insertion support
• Extended operating temperature range
• Rear mounting on the camera for easier packaging
