dPict Imaging has launched the DC-100, a new high-definition IP smart camera built around the innovative Sony FCB-EW9500 block and Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

The DC-100 is a high-definition IP smart camera featuring the Sony FCB-EW9500 block and Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It excels in low light conditions with 30x optical zoom and super image stabilization, delivering top-quality images in any setting. This Linux-based smart camera supports RTSP video streaming in HEVC (H.265) or H.264 formats, with comprehensive configuration and control services.

The camera’s 30x enhanced optical zoom ensures high resolution and minimal chromatic aberration, while the super image stabilizer suppresses vibrations and reduces blurring, making it ideal for use in harsh environments like vehicles and UAVs. The Sony STARVISTM sensor provides high sensitivity and wide dynamic range, capturing clear images in low light and managing large light intensity differences effectively.

Control and configuration of the DC-100 can be done via the Sony VISCATM protocol or remotely through the dPict Imaging Configuration Manager, which also assists with network discovery and settings configuration. The DC-100 supports ONVIF protocol for integration into existing systems and offers an optional web services API for OEM development, along with the capability to run supported third-party services on the camera itself.
