DX-2200 Dual-view 2×1 SDI Video Switcher supporting: PIP, PAP, split-screen & text/graphics on screen display

The Microtronix DX-2200-SW Dual-view 2×1 SDI Video Switcher with SDI Loop Output is a high-quality professional grade, frame synchronous, seamless video switch supporting:

The DX-2200-SW unit is designed as a seamless 2×1 SDI Video Switcher for professional camera display systems, video recording and high-end surveillance applications requiring glitch-free (frame synchronous) video switching and simultaneous (dual-view) display of the SDI inputs and the ability to insert (overlay) alpha-blended text and graphics onto live a SDI video stream. The graphic images are uploaded through the RS-232 serial port from a computer using a Java software uploader application.



DX-2200 SD/HD-SDI Text & Graphics Overlay Inserter (OSD) with PIP & SDI Loop Output

The DX-2200-TI-24 is a single port, high-speed and low frame delay SD/HD-SDI Text and Graphics Inserter with PIP OSD capable of overlaying live text and graphic components (symbols, lines, logos etc.) onto a SD or HD SDI video stream in both interlaced and progressive video formats. Up to 48 independent text or graphic fields on each of three overlay layers can be displayed and positioned as required. The text can independently controlled for colour, size, font and background colour.

Enhanced on screen display (OSD) capabilities include: alpha blending and multi-layering of both text and graphic fields, and dynamic positioning of text and graphic components. An ancillary SDI input (which can operate asynchronous to the main video source) is used for overlaying a PIP display from a second video source.

DX-4400 SD/HD/2K Dual-channel 3G-SDI Text & Graphics Overlay Inserter (OSD) with PIP & SDI Loop Output

The DX-4400 is a high performance low latency single/dual channel 3G-SDI Video Text and Graphics Overlay Inserter supporting alpha blended text and graphics overlay/on screen display (OSD) for progressive, progressive segmented frame (PsF) and interlaced video formats for SD, HD, FHD, 2K resolutions, A license upgrade is available for 4K UHD and 4K Digital Cinema Initiatives (DCI) video resolutions up to 4096x2160p30 using Dual Link 3G- SDI with Quad and 2SI mapping.

The product passes all video content on the primary video input, including audio channels and embedded metadata. Either SDI input can be used for PIP and for a scaled dual (side-by-side) display. Secondary SDI outputs provide a clean loop pass-thru output of each input.



DX-4400 4K 3G-SDI Text & Graphics Overlay Inserter (OSD) with SDI Loop Output

The DX-4400-TI-4K – 3G-SDI Video Text and Graphics Overlay Inserter product is an upgraded version of the base DX-4400-TI-2K product with the addition of support for a single channel of 3G-SDI video operating at resolutions up to 4K UHD or 4K Digital Cinema Initiatives (DCI) using Dual-link 3G- SDI with Quad and 2SI mapping.

The DX-4400 is designed for use in broadcast, professional video recording, information displays, surveillance, security and embedded applications requiring live text and graphic overlay with no degradation of the video content.

In this example a video source connects to SDI 1 on the DX-4400 and a computer generated overlay layer connects to SDI 2. The overlay is generated on a black background and the DX-4400 is configured to display the overlay layer on top of the main video with the black background treated as transparent.
