NEW Solar-Express 201 announced

Sundance DSP has just announced their latest product, the Solar-Express 201 PCIe x8 Gen2 board, with a range of impressive features to support a variety of applications. It is now in production.
The board is equipped with the PI7C9X2G1616PR, a multi-port 16-lane PCIe Gen2 switch from Diodes Incorporated, and two SoM-MPF modules slots called SoM-MPF-1 and SoM-MPF-2, which are compatible with modules featuring MPF500 and MPF300 FPGAs by Microchip Technology Inc. The slots can also accept SoM-MPF300T-2 or SoM-MPF300T-1 modules, albeit with reduced functionality.

Additionally, the Solar-Express 201 board features TWO FMC HPC Vita 57.1 connectors for functional extension, a SATA Gen 3 HOST interface, an SFP+ connector for 10Gb/1Gb optical modules, a double-row header connector for 100/1000Mbit Ethernet connection, a USB 2.0 Host port for various peripheral connections, all routed to a header.

For onboard JTAG and UART debug purposes, the board has a USB 2.0 Device connector micro USB, and it comes with a common clocking IC SI5338 and four user LEDs for each SOM slot, with two red and two green. There are also LEDs for power good indication, onboard power for FMC and SoM-MPF modules, a connector for additional external powering, and a temperature range of 0°C to +50°C.

The maximal power consumption of the board, including FMCs, is 130W, making it a powerful tool for a variety of applications, including data logging MIMO system defence and Aerospace, diversity multiband, multimode digital receivers, 3G/4G, TD-SCDMA, W-CDMA, GSM, LTE, LTE-A, electronic test and measurement systems, phased array radar and electronic warfare, and DOCSIS 3.0 CMTS upstream receive paths and HFC digital reverse path receivers.
