Advanced Imaging Module; TMS320DM642 @ 720 MHz; Xilinx Virtex 4 XC4VFX60 FPGA
The SMT339 is a dedicated second generation high speed image processing module for use in a wide range of image analysis systems.
The module can be plugged into a standard TIM single width slot and can be accessed by either a standard ComPort, or Rocket Serial Link (RSL) Interface. The module can also operate in a “stand-alone” mode for use in SMART camera and SMART monitor applications.
The module features a single NXP SAA7109AE/108AE video decoder/encoder accepting as input most PAL and NTSC standards. Processed images can be output as PAL, NTSC or VGA (1280×1024, or HDTV Y/Pb/Pr).
The image processing engine is based upon the ‘Texas Instruments’ TMS320DM642 Video Digital Signal Processor. It is fully software compatible with C64x using Code Composer Studio.
It supports Windows® and Linux environments and includes full integration and compatibility with The MathWorks®simulation and DSP/VHDL code generation tools via Sundance SMT6040 Toolkit (not included).
TI offer the following training modules for the TMS320DM642 Digital Media Processor:
- Multi-Day Workshops
- On-Line Training
