The SMT372T is the first of the Sundance range to use theTMS320C6472. Not only once, but twice.
The SMT372T utilises two C6472 DSPs, each with SIX DSP dies in them to produce a TWELVE core DSP module that is not much larger than a pack of cards.
The module has also incorporated a Virtex 5 FPGA from Xilinx, either the FX30T-1 or the FX70T-1.
With this addition to the C6472s the SMT372T can control Two x16 DDR2 devices per DSP, a 10/100/1000 Ethernet PHY, RSL connections for inter module communication, as well as 64MByte flash memory.
Connections to the Ethernet are best done via the SMT562E – available from the Sundance eStore
