The SMT135-C

An Efinix Titanium Ti135 Evaluation Board

As embedded systems become increasingly intelligent, engineers need compact platforms that can deliver high-performance processing, flexible hardware and efficient operation.

The Sundance SMT135-C is designed to meet these demands. Built around the SoM6 Ti135 System-on-Module, the SMT135-C combines the Efinix Titanium Ti135 FPGA with a quad-core RISC-V processor, DSP resources and high-speed connectivity.

Powerful FPGA Processing

At the heart of the SMT135-C is the Efinix Titanium Ti135 FPGA, manufactured using a TSMC 16nm process and featuring Efinix’s Quantum™ compute fabric.

The Ti135 provides up to 129,600 logic elements, 480 DSP blocks and 9.83 Mbits of SRAM, alongside a quad-core hardened RISC-V processor.

This combination gives developers the flexibility to divide workloads between programmable FPGA logic and software-based processing.

Built for Connectivity

The SMT135-C provides a range of interfaces, including:

  • 10/100/1000 Ethernet
  • SFP
  • 8-lane MIPI TX/RX
  • Samtec FireFly optical interface
  • JTAG and UART via USB-C
  • SD card interface

These interfaces provide the connectivity needed to work with cameras, sensors, networking equipment and other peripherals during development.

Where Can It Be Used?

  • Machine Vision – Real-time image processing, industrial inspection and camera-based systems.
  • Edge AI – Developing and accelerating AI workloads closer to the point of data generation.
  • Robotics – Processing sensor data and supporting low-latency robotic systems.
  • Industrial Automation – Real-time monitoring, control and data processing.
  • Signal Processing – Implementing customised FPGA-based processing pipelines.
  • Embedded Computing – Developing and evaluating application-specific computing solutions.

Who’s It For?

The SMT135-C is aimed at engineers and developers looking to evaluate FPGA technology or prototype high-performance embedded systems.

It is particularly suited to:

  • FPGA developers evaluating the Efinix Titanium Ti135
  • Embedded engineers developing compact, high-performance systems
  • Machine vision developers working with imaging hardware
  • Robotics and automation teams developing real-time systems
