SMT348-LX160

NOT FOR NEW DESIGNS

s348FPGA Module, Virtex-4, LX160; 16Mbytes QDR-SRAM; SHB Interface, SLB Interface

The SMT348 provides a ‘Base’ module for a range of applications and functions. The Virtex4 LX has the highest amount of Logic blocks in the Virtex4 range, and the FPGA also has direct access to 16MBytes of QDRII SRAM. This will provide storage for the majority of applications. The addition of a Xilinx configuration PROM enables the module to be used ‘Stand-Alone’. Alternatively, FPGA configuration can be made from a connected DSP module.
The Virtex4 LX is connected to two 60-way SHB connectors for normal LV-TTL interface, and the 3x 20-way Sundance Local Bus (SLB) connector has 36 pairs of Low Voltage Differential Signals that can be interfaced over a long distance to some external control equipment, or act as an interface to an SLB mezzanine module.

Features

  • Xilinx Virtex-4 LX160 FPGA
  • 16MBytes QDRII SRAM
  • Can be used for custom developments
  • On board Xilinx Prom for module configuration
  • TIM specification compliant.
  • SHB connections for high speed data transfer
  • SLB (Sundance Local Bus) data and power connectors, enabling ADC / DAC expansion.
  • 12 months warranty

Benefits

The SMT348-LX160 has the largest number of logic blocks in the Virtex 4 range. This combined with the 16MBytes of QDRII memory give the user a very versatile platform to build applications. The addition of the Sundance Local Bus (SLB) and you will also have up to 1GHz ADC / DAC capabilities.
