FPGA Module, Virtex-4, SX55; 16Mbytes QDR-SRAM; SHB Interface
The SMT348 provides a ‘Base’ module for a range of applications and functions. The Virtex4 SX has the highest amount of DSP blocks in the Virtex4 range, and the FPGA also has direct access to 16MBytes of QDRII RAM. This will provide storage for the majority of applications. The addition of a Xilinx configuration PROM enables the module to be used ‘Stand-Alone’. Alternatively, FPGA configuration can be made from a connected DSP module.
The Virtex4 SX is connected to two 60-way SHB connectors for normal LV-TTL interface.

Benefits
The SMT348-SX55 has the largest number of DSP blocks in the Virtex 4 range. This combined with the 16MBytes of QDRII memory give the user a very versatile platform to build applications. High speed data can be transferred via the SHBs enabling links to be made to other ADC / DAC or DSP modules.
